Here are the professional musicians who have been a part of Texas Music Partners’ Live Music in the Schools program

 


Kenny Felton - Drums

Kenny Felton (Drums)

Kenny is a versatile drummer who is in demand for recording sessions and live performances in Central Texas. He has played with Delbert McClinton, Jack Ingram, Hal Ketchum, The Platters, Tamasha Africana, W.C. Clark, Gary Primich, Gumbo Ya Ya and many others. Kenny has performed in schools with The Creative Opportunity Orchestra, Austin Jazz Workshop and performed with children through Pillow Elementary School’s Something’s Afoot dance program.

 


Danny Hamelin - GuitarDanny Hamelin (Guitar/Vocals)

Danny Hamelin has over 35 years of experience playing guitar live and in the studio.
Some artists Danny has played with include T Graham Brown, Johnny Neel (Allman Bros), Joe-El Sonnier and others.

 

 


Danny Marquette - KeyboardsDanny Marquette (Piano/Organ/Vocals)

Danny enjoys playing all music styles including jazz, funk, rock, blues, folk, and church music.
After a long engineering career, Danny recently transitioned to a full-time music career. He is a multi-instrumentalist, mixer, and recording engineer.

 

 


Michael Milligan - Vocals/HarmonicaMichael Milligan (Vocals/Harmonica)

Michael Milligan has been a performing musician since 1973.  He has toured the Midwest, the Northwest, the Rocky Mountain States and the South including Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.
Michael is an avid songwriter.  He has released 1 C.D. in Colorado and 5 C.D.’s in Texas.
Michael has participated in the International Blues Competition, in Memphis, twice.

 


Joe Zito - BassJoe Zito (Bass)

Joe Zito has been playing bass for over 60 years.  Before moving to Austin, Joe layed down the groove in Southern California performing with artists like Joe Houston, Joe Walsh, Rosie and the Originals, Don and Juan, the Robins and Jules Aikens.

Joe Zito enjoys being a part of the Austin music scene, which includes having played with the late, great Handy Award winner: W.C. Clark.  You can hear Joe playing with local musicians at venues like Antone’s, the Continental Club and The Saxon Pub.
