Making a Quality Music Video course gives the student a better understanding of how to use solid techniques to make a good single-camera video, without having to rely on editing. The course focuses on getting things right in the beginning, so the student can get started immediately and begin perfecting their technique. The course covers the following subjects:
- What, exactly, is a smartphone/tablet?
- How to hold the smartphone/tablet?
- Having a plan vs. just shooting the video
- Getting a stable shot
- Zooming and panning
- Keys to taking good videos
- Checking your video
- Getting the video off your smartphone/tablet and storing it
- How to interface with musicians
- Giving the finished product back to the musicians
- Family-friendly venues with live music
