Around the turn of the new millennium, students at Tupelo Middle School were just learning to type.
Today, class time doesn’t need to be spent on the inter-workings of the keyboard. Every student has a laptop as hands-on learning with real work-force connections has taken over technology classes. By committing to the integration of science, technology, engineering, arts and math, the Tupelo School District promotes active instead of passive learning, while encouraging students to start thinking about potential careers before they reach high school.
